Hello all! It’s been a while since we’ve posted from here, but we wanted to let you know that we’ve been working towards releasing the final versions of Crow Court and Full Moon: The Beast of Gevaudan! The two games will both be made available for purchase on The Game Crafter on the weekend of July 4th!
We’ve made statements on other platforms, but are going to continue to reiterate that Black Lives Matter. Therefore, we have decided that the profit from the first month of release for both games will be in support of the Marsha P. Johnson Institute, in honor of Black Trans Lives and the anniversary of the Stonewall Uprising (June 28th – July 3, 1969). The Marsha P. Johnson Institute was named after Marsha P. Johnson, an activist, self identified drag queen, performer, survivor, and prominent figure in the Stonewall Uprising of 1969. This institute works to protect and defend the human rights of Black Transgender People, a cause we care passionately about. Therefore for the first month of launch, all profits from the sales of those two games will be donated to this institute and Witchway Games will add to the donation.
The planned price point of our games is low, we did not prioritize profits when creating these games, but we want to make sure that the profit that we do make is going to a good cause. In order to remain transparent, we want to make it clear that the price point you see when buying the game does not translate to the actual amount of money that will be donated. When ordering from The Game Crafter, the largest portion of the cost will go towards the actual making of the game, a small portion goes to The Game Crafter itself, and the remaining profit will be taken and donated. The profit margins are low but we will not be taking any of the profits gained throughout the month of July for ourselves, it will all go straight to the Marsha P. Johnson Institute along with our own personal donation.
We want to be able to share our games with as many people as possible, and starting July 4th weekend you can have some fun, do some good, and we can do some good right alongside you.
